Step 1

  • Open the SmartThings App on your mobile device.​

Step 2

  • ​Tap on 'Z-Wave Smoke Alarm' or another name which is associated with your First Alert 2-in-1 Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm.

Step 3

  • ​Tap on the 'Settings Icon' at the right top.

Step 4

  • Tap on 'Remove' on the 2 following screens.

Step 5

  • ​Proceed by sliding out the battery drawer of the First Alert 2-in-1 Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm and remove and reinsert the 2 AA batteries.

Step 6

  • ​Press and hold the 'Action Button' while you close the battery drawer.
     
  • After you have closed the battery drawer you may release the 'Action Button'.

Step 7

  • The SmartThings App will show a confirmation message indicating that the First Alert 2-in-1 Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm has been successfully removed from the Samsung SmartThings Hub.
     
  • Tap on 'OK'.

Step 8

  • ​You have hereby successfully unpaired the First Alert 2-in-1 Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm from the Samsung SmartThings Hub.
